An Unexpected Move

On September 1, a representative of Mario and Mr. Kong called to offer Gordon a job up in Washington. After a few weeks of interviews they said, "Come join our team up in Redmond. They could use a guy like you." That was nice but we were down in Arizona. They said "No problem. We will send a truck down, but only one, so make sure that you can fit everything you want in it. We are not coming back for another load." So from September 29th on we were packing and cleaning, cleaning and packing. We told the kids that Mario called and they were very excited. We had been praying that our grandpa would get a job and that our dad would be able to work with Mario and his friends. Both happened within the same week.

So Cindy came down with the truck from Washington. It was BIG. On Monday four men came and packed us up all day long. Then on Tuesday, they started loading us up. It was a tight squeeze but everything fit, even our two cars. Cindy challenged us to a race and the winner had to deliver the two cars to out temporary housing. We won or was it a lost? Anyway, we will get to that later.

We finished cleaning our house with the help of our friends and asked Doug to sell the house for us. So if you know anyone who wants to buy a house in Gilbert, AZ with 4 bedrooms, 2 offices, and 2.5 bathrooms and is over 2700 square feet for $190000, MLS# 4479995, give him a call.

We said goodbye to our friends at school and church who we will miss very much but hope to keep in touch with. We also said goodbye to our house of which we will always have good memories. Then we went to stay at a hotel for a few days. The night before we left Arizona, we went to our school's Halloween party. It was a blast. We saw the parade of pumpkins, watched our favorite Charlie Brown show, went trick or treating, and said goodbye.
